Sean Douglas is the Vice President of Global Service Delivery for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region of American Express Global Business Travel, a position he has held since September 2013. Sean develops and executes the servicing strategy across APAC, and is also responsible for client implementations, product deployment and solutions consulting, leading a regional team of over 1400 people. Sean joined American Express in September 2009 as Vice President for Service Delivery for a portfolio of European markets, a role he held until his relocation to the APAC region. Prior to joining American Express, Sean spent time living in Ireland, France, Eastern Europe and the UK and held a number of leadership roles in operations and customer care for large B2B and B2C organisations. A seasoned leader with extensive transformation experience of large scale in-house and outsourced operations across a number of verticals in home and international markets, Sean has a proven track record in the delivery of sustainable, profitable growth and effective cost optimization with a passion for customer experience and brand advocacy. Originally from Ireland, Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in European Business Studies with French & German, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Marketing and Product Management from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Toulon, France. Sean is based in Sydney, Australia where he lives with his wife and 4 children.
